Teresa Bell is an artist who through an exploration of the use of language in various media—poetry, painting, film, installation and performance—probes ideas of the invisible borders of art, philosophy and the human experience. Bell frequently collaborates with other artists, writers, and philosophers and is interested in the ways spaces and art forms work off each other to create a unique ephemeral experience.

Teresa has a passion for poetry and theatre. This passion has seen her establish Australia’s first national poetry centre, work as Artistic Director for various theatre companies, win the George Fairfax Award for her play Taize, produce award-winning short films for the Melbourne Film Festival, direct and tour theatre to most states in Australia, create work for numerous international festivals, publish three books of poetry and saw her first novel Lunation shortlisted for the Dorothy Hewett Award.

Teresa has a Doctorate in Creative Writing from the University of Wollongong and is a member of the Wedderburn Artist community.
